Phoenix Meet/Photo Opportunities

Hi all,

I'm looking to relocate back to Phoenix from Southern California, hopefully before the end of the year. I'm going to be out in Phoenix Saturday November 10 through Friday November 15, and was wondering if anyone was interested in doing a photo meet any of those days?

Saturday the 10th in the evening, Sunday during the day or evening, or Monday, Tuesday or Thursday in the evening would work if anyone's interested? I'm going to be looking for a job, and probably driving around looking for places to take some pictures that week.

Anyone know of any decent spots where I can get some shots of the downtown skyline?

Let me know, look forward to meeting yall if you're interested.

The best spots for good skyline pictures are off the freeways from what I've found. Off the I-10 East right after you merge off the I-17 South. It can be risky, you have to pull over to grab good shots...or have someone else drive while you take pictures from the passenger seat. Another good location is on the I-17 south of downtown and on the I-10 east of downtown before the Sky Harbor exit.

I can make Saturday in the afternoon or evening (I'm supposed to be in Prescott that weekend but can come back early), all day Sunday, Monday after 5pm, Tuesday morning or afternoon (just not between Noon and 3 pm, as I have class) or Wed. after 5pm.

Here's my cell number if you want to coordinate: 602 999-7601.

I'm thinking Sunday evening sometime after 5pm? I'm dogsitting and need to make sure the dogs are fed before heading out.

That work for others, or would Saturday evening after 5pm work?

Anyone up for Sunday November 11 at 6pm? Someone throw out a location (preferably Downtown/Central Phoenix)?

We could meet at the law school campus (4041 North Central Avenue), southeast corner of Indian School and Central. I can give a tour and we can go up to the vacant top floor of the Central Plaza Tower (where my recent pics were shot). After that, we can carpool to some location, walk around a bit, grab some grub and head back.

Let me know if this works.

I'm game depending on the final time/day. I only live 2-3 miles from Don's school.

It looks that way. Sunday, November 11th, at 6 pm. Meet in the north parking lot of Central Plaza, 4041 North Central Avenue. You can enter off of Indian School (first right past the light going east) or off of 3rd Street (driveway just north of the parking garage).

Remember, remember, the 11th of November; photography, booze and plot. I see no reason why the photography season should ever be forgot.

OK, tonight at 6pm....at the Phoenix School of Law, Central Ave. & Indian School Road. Don indicated to me to park in the lot just to the east of the building, south of Indian School.

We will find some yummy places to eat. I noticed Macayo's is down the street. And there's that yummy Thai restaurant called Wild Tiger further south....and FEZ.
