Any news of the 6th and final phase of the Domain co. South market district development. Last I remember was they were supposed to be announcing something before the Odeon was finished and opened, and that it would be mixed use development which sounded like they may design the new building to be office retail and apartment or hotel rooms. If anyone has any news of that it would be greatly appreciated, that’s one of my favorite developments in the city.

The former Warwick Hotel at 1315 Gravier St. will house 154 fully furnished apartments catered to the Tulane community. The project is called Thirteen15 and tenants are expected to be able to move in beginning this July.










Some additional interesting tidbits from the article:

The 12-story building includes a mix of furnished studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments. Multiple retailers will occupy the ground floor, including a coffee shop and market. An open lobby will serve as meeting and study space and the new fitness center at Deming Pavilion (opening this fall) is one block away. Tulane’s downtown campus buildings are within a two-to-10-minute walk of Thirteen15, making it a convenient housing option for Tulanians working or studying at the School of Medicine, School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine, and School of Social Work.

This exciting new residential opportunity is Tulane’s first of many planned investments downtown. Thirteen15 will complement the space Tulane is leasing in the Charity Hospital redevelopment one block over. Tulane will also be rolling out streetscape enhancements and a number of other district initiatives designed to improve the campus experience downtown.

I hope this means they are redoing the streetscape of Tulane Ave b/w Loyola and Claiborne. There's no need for it to look as tragic as it does. It should be widended, IMO, with a legit landscaped neutral ground. I can't stand the current layout of this section of Tulane.
