A bit unrelated but are there plans to do something with the space under sky train. It's a bit scuzzy looking (as seen in the second and third pics)

I believe the redevelopment of Metrotown station includes moving part of or all of the bus loop under the station.

i thought that area would be a great spot for semi-permanent food trucks sort of like portland has, regular ones can set up under there etc.

Oh my god. That glass is phenomenal. As far as I can tell, there isn't a warped panel in the lot.

Does anyone think the heavier silver fins/mullions will light up?

The glazing is finished on the curved face, perhaps the other faces as well now.

Thanks for posting.
The horizontal stripes show up quite a bit on the curved facade.

Metrotower three is a pleasing, though not dramatically tall, building. Alone it would be a nice, rather sleekly curved tower, pure and simple. However, in the configuration of the three towers, if reflects them nicely in its curved surface, and serves as an elegant design counterpoint, yet still in keeping with other tower design elements. All this lends a certain "presence" to the entire Metrotower complex, even if it is not impressively tall.

It's almost as if height isn't the sole determinant of the quality and impact of a highrise building....

Interesting idea..How about a night/day market stretching from Willingdon to Imperial ? What is awesome about this stretch is that there are no cross streets for a 1km stretch and its at least 30 meters wide (enough for 3 double sided rows of stands). Below the guideway and visible in the middle of Metrotown in the center of the region and with the second busiest station (eventually busiest) located right in the middle, it would be a huge draw.

The only obstacle I see is Metrotown, even though I think something like this could actually bring more people to the area and more people into the mall.
