Any pictures of the Merchant Marine Academy? I bet most people in the US don't know it even exists. I bet a good amount of people here on SSP also don't know that it exists.

Some look fictional.

in 1940s NYC may look fictional to the world, now 80 years of being mundane later, NYC looks fictional again.

i know it exists!

yrs ago in between tech jobs my spouse used to go there regularly for a few years to sell textbooks. remember those? lol. she loved it because the cadets were always unfailingly polite.

Thanks for the views! I am looking at the academy on a map and I am surprised the Manhattan skyline looks so close from that distance!
