Sawtooth,
"another Hyatt view most likely soon to be duplicated"
I posted the Hyatt picture before you :-) ... by just two minutes.
We seem to pick the same day to be out with our cameras.
My photos are just construction photographs, not like your great artistic ones.

City Center Main Street Retail

Does anyone know the status of the retail building that was supposed to be built on Main St. with the City Center project? Was is suppose to be built during this project or was it intended to be in a future phase along with the entry canopy??
Its located below in the lower left.

*Nevermind, I found the answer to my question. I found Gardners leasing brochure. It doesn't show the plaza building. Also, on a sidenote, we will get a Dutch Brothers downtown and another Gryo Shack!!! *

I think Gyro Shack has been a local Boise company right?

Anyways, here is some news I found.

2. Doug Miller is a Papa Murphy’s franchisee out of Boise, Idaho, who has now decided to franchise Gyro Shack, a new brand he and his business partner bought from the founder. He says he brings a franchisee’s sensibility to the role of franchisor—meaning an obsession with profitability vs. top-line sales.

He likes the brand’s tiny footprint—250 square feet in some cases, with a double drive-through. They’re going to test an urban model in Boise starting this summer, with no drive-through but limited in-store seating instead.
Miller is excited to be starting the next phase—creating in-store design elements—which is one of his favorite tasks. He was also touting their food—a mix of lamb and beef on a skewer—and their logo—none other than the Greek goddess Athena herself.

Fantastic find Cottonwood.
And I believe they're local. I've been going there for the past 8 years or so. They have 2 locations currently, one on State st and Bloom, and the other on Overland/Cole. They also have a permit in with Meridian for one on Fairview/N. Lakes.
And now a franchise location Downtown!

Rudy is back, perched high above the Capri. Rudy's head is quite possibly the tallest point in West Downtown west of the Red Lion. Oh yeah, note the caption says "downtown" and not the other contrived terminology some are getting paid to use.

Also, Capri is apparently offering after hours banquet/party services now.

I saw the new location on Facebook. Was Rudy anywhere else before Jims?

Is SSP the first outlet that a photo of this was posted? As usual, Sawtooth is 5 steps ahead of everyone else.

Possible new restaurant on Greenbelt at the wave. There's a Notice of Public Hearing (Garden City) sign at 3588 N Prospect Way. That's one of several vacant lots on the circle at the end of the 36th St Footbridge and just downstream from the wave. It seems kind of small. Hopefully it's an In-n-Out.

^^^ Hopefully it's nothing fast-food or to-go related because it's going to stink like grease and inevitably result in trash everywhere.

These new renderings look great. Construction on the site is well underway, footings already being cast. EdR's website doesn't show as a current project, yet. However, current projects all have a webcam, so hopefully that's forthcoming. Monitor here: http://www.edrtrust.com/index.php/co...rrent_projects

A completely WAG would be Dutch Bros. Seems like it would fit the vibe of the whitewater park.

I was having dinner at Luciano's Italian restaurant on Orchard several months ago, and the bartender told me they were thinking of opening another restaurant at the whitewater park. Next time in I will ask if they decided to ago ahead with their plans.

Everything Boise State is building is great. All these new buildings look really nice. I like that they're sticking with the same theme. The campus is looking amazing.

One of my favorite locations for photographing city panos below Table Rock is being taken over by mansions.

Shot last October.

Have you also learned that secret from the river; that there is no such thing as time? That the river is everywhere at the same time, at the source and at the mouth, at the waterfall, at the ferry, at the current, in the ocean and in the mountains.-Hermann Hesse

Check out the views from The Aspen in the slideshow:

Treasure Magazine: Inside two Aspen Lofts condos in Downtown Boise

The Feb. 27 issue of Treasure Magazine features a story about the many advantages of Downtown Living. Two higher-end condos are for sale in the Aspen Lofts now, and we thought it would be fun to offer readers a peek at these gorgeous homes while we have the chance. The one-story condo is $1.15 million; the two-story condo is $2.2 million.

Sawtooth... is this the home on Alto Via that's now having slope stability issues?
