Ottawa CMA is over 1 million people.

Great photos though.

Two or three days ago. It's been reasonably warm, but the habour refuses to melt.

The harbour is usually clear by mid-late April. It's been colder than usual this spring. Last year at this time, we had leaves on the trees. They haven't even started budding yet.

The lake acts like a heat sink, so the city is always colder than its surroundings in the summer, and warmer than its surroundings in the winter. The difference between the waterfront, and the southwestern suburbs of the city (separated from the lake by mountains) can exceed 20 degrees. On a day where it is 25 at the airport, it might be 15 at the waterfront and 35 in the southwest. Lake Superior is warmest in October and coldest in April.

It has been cold over all, but for the past while it has be fairly warm. I was amazed at just how much colder the lake was than High Park though.

I'm blown away by the apparent density of downtown Regina; what are they doing right that, say, Winnipeg could learn from?

Also impressed by Quebec City's potential. I could easily see it becoming another iconic cityscape like Calgary or Vancouver in a couple decades.
