some of the most bland and uninspired architecture to rise in nyc in the past 10 years

the neighborhood around it though, Hunters Point, is fantastic. Vernon Blvd is anything but bland. And there's some great, shorter stuff like this. Not to mention that Gantry Plaza State Park is awesome. I miss Water Taxi Beach, though.

i moved here 4 years ago, i live on Center Boulevard (closest avenue to the riverfront) and we have 3 restaurants, Riverview, the amazing Shi, and a new one Cantina...so it has life but nowhere as Manhattan or others parts of Queens, but i love it here.....

Cool, a friend mine told me about this area about 5 years ago to check out the views during my visit. I see there are a lot more highrises since I visit Long Island City.

My friend liked it so much that he actually had his wedding on the pier a few months ago, I wasn't there but he had some very nice photos with the Manhattan skyline in the background.
