The City Square one is too.
You forgot to mention the style of check-out counters.

... except that Sungiven doesn't give enough information about the products on their signs.
If I had known that the $7 mango was a special Australian variety I wouldn't have initially been turned off of the store as havmg crazy high prices.

Okay, so not Vancouver, but if Hudson's Bay is doing this in Montreal, I wonder if something similar is planned for the Vancouver store?

I'm sure the Bay is thinking of something to do with that site. They will most likely keep the store there, but do something similar to Montreal and downsize. I was happy to hear they are re-opening in Oakridge's new development with a new concept store. I was worried the redevelopment would make it a no-brainer to just keep the location closed, but they must think it does decently if they are going into the new development too

They would have had a good lease rate in the old Oakridge store (grandfathered from Woodward's which developed Oakridge).
I expect that they would have used that leverage to get a less than market lease rate on the new Oakridge premises (but doubt as low as the old buiding)

Laughable for someone to use the stock index to gauge a company's health.

Looks like PAUL is finally about to open its Robson location. Been to many, mostly in airports around Europe, their selection is great and quality is amazing, hope it's the same here.

You have to think that something like that will come to pass eventually. Its inevitable. Vancouver is one of the larger of their stores in the country, and a downsize/repurposing of at least a few floors much like what happened close by in the old Eatons building will certainly happen at some point.

Opening 'soon'... just like Jolibee has been for the past year or so. Don't believe everything you read from Dailyhive.com!

The Sungiven down on West Broadway doesn't look anything like the stores featured upthread in fact it's just a bland little dump with a bare minimum of.....whatever.

The Value Village spot at Burquitlam Plaza is getting a new tenant, I guess redevelopment is still some time away.

When someone says so doesn't mean it's correct: especially you. That also applies to what you like to say about me too. Don't try too hard.

Most exciting item to open on that block of Robson in recent years. Can't wait.

Daiso is opening in Vancouver. Daiso Japan will be opening the store this time. The last Daiso store was operated by the Fairchild group as a franchise operation. That would explain why they changed the name of the store to Oomomo.

According to dailyhive it will be going in the old Indigo Spirit on Granville just off Robson.

I think Daiso will have a harder time in Canada when you compare it to Muji. While maybe it's comparable in quality, it seems more Dollar Store vs. Muji's marketing/product mix.

Daiso is a dollar store a hundred yen store. Its not a quality item but the quality and variety is quite good.

According to a photo they posted the store fixtures were shipped over from Japan.

they have a facebook page for info, seems like they will be expanding across Canada opening corporate stores.
