Well I'm calling it a night and I'm satisfied with the result.

Locally with a Liberal minority I was hoping for the Libs or NDP to win and that happened (Halifax reelected Liberal Fillmore). Halifax solidly stood its ABC ground and put the conservatives in fourth place. Nova Scotia went 7/9 or 8/9 Liberal which is a strong showing that we believe they are the lesser of two evils.

Nationally I was hoping for a Liberal minority (check), propped up by the NDP/Green (check), no PPC (check), and Green getting 5 seats or more (3 as of 1am AST). Getting three out of my four desires seems like a good night. It's an added bonus CPC + BQ does not equal 170 seats so Atlantic Canada is safe from Quebec and Alberta/Sask throwing us to the curb for the time being.

More than two-thirds of voters voted against Trudeau. The Libs are really lucky with the way the FPTP vote is distributed - soooo unkarmic. 2015 should have been the last FPTP election.......

Maybe one day people like you will realize that Albertan's are the ones who know how to properly run a country. Unfortunately, it'll be too late by the time that happens.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing with that. I don't disagree that this minority could very well last, I'm just pointing that if it lasts, it's because it's the NDP and/or CPC (which might even be in the process of changing leaders) that won't want to go back to the polls. Not the Bloc.

Can you just answer a question instead of meaninglessly repeating yourself?

Are we heading into WW3?

This province could destroy itself because of people like you. Stop blaming everyone else and look in the mirror.

We need to have runoff elections in Canada. According to the "experts" here the Liberals would win such an election with ~66% of the vote. I think they would lose.

And he can say, "well I tried" to the rest of the country, and they'll agree with that.

It's very clear the progressive/left vote beat the right vote in this country handily. The CPC underperformed a little, and the PPC collapsed.

I think so. I think they waited until polls closed in MB to make it look like the west mattered.

Exactly. Looking forward the Liberals will see no value in pushing Alberta priorities. They’ve got a better chance of picking up seats in QC or even taking seats from the Greens.

I’m also tagging May and the Greens as big losers-three seats, big deal. And they’re totally irrelevant to governing.
