Might've been reported here before, but Maryland and MARC officials seem really serious about linking the Wilmington-Newark (SEPTA) regional rail line to their line at Perryville. Which would create a pretty massive, local regional rail from DC thru the SEPTA system and north.

The Maryland Department of Transportation-Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA) signed framework agreements with Delaware Transit Corp. (DART First State) and the Virginia Passenger Rail Authority (VPRA) for the potential future expansion of MARC commuter-rail service to Newark, Delaware, and Alexandria, Virginia, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore announced last week.
