It
is a 1,600 ft tower. Whether or not they've reduced the height down from 1,646 ft, we'll know tonight. If so, I doubt it would be a clean 1,600 ft.

The Freedom Tower doesn't really have competition Downtown. Although taller, this tower would still have the ensemble cast of 270 Park, Vanderbilt, CPT, even Tower Fifth and 350 Park if built. Two of those towers would be just a hundred ft or so behind. This tower would be the obvious boss though. And we still have many more towers to be revealed, including some big boys in the Empire Station district. 270 better bring the heat.
At least now, we can envision it, and the renderists can get to work.
