The AMT confirmed that they won't go ahead with the extension of Mont-Saint-Hilaire line to Saint-Hyacinthe. However, here is a list of AMT's main projetcs underway :
- Lachine maintenance centre (entering service in 2015);
- Pointe-Saint-Charles maintenance centre (entering service in 2017);
- Third track construction between Lucien-L'Allier and Montréal Ouest, allowing more trains on Vaudreuil line and trains from Saint-Jérôme line that terminate at Parc should then go all the way to Lucien-L'Allier (works should be finish by fall 2015);
- Third track construction at Mont-Saint-Hilaire station, allowing dwelling time without blocking the track for CN and VIA trains and potentially allowing more departures (works should be finished by year end iirc);
- Construction of Sauvé and Pointe-aux-Trembles stations on new Mascouche line (opening summer 2015);
- Construction of a new station (Du Canal) on Candiac line near canal Lachine (works should start this year);
- Works for improving safety inside Mont-Royal tunnel (ungoing works);
There are also other smaller construction sites across the network (at Saint-Constant, for example).
