London is a lovely city and has a great reputation. It's importance, thou once diminshing, is increasing again and not just due to it's fast growing population and oddly enough, London's stature is growing because Toronto's is growing.

London will never become part of the urban Toronto blob as it is too far and there is a large gap of populated places between Brantford & Woodstock on the 403 and Kitchener & Woodstock on the 401. London has always been and will continue to be a major regional centre. Hamilton and Kitchener on the other hand are growing cities but with declining prestige and relevance as they are becoming engulfed by Toronto's urban sprawl.
