^ Even Stantec falls just short of the mighty Flin Flon superstack. You'd have to build something around the height of Scotia Plaza in Toronto to surpass it, meaning that Flin Flon's bragging rights for tallest non-antenna structure in Manitoba and even Western Canada could be safe for a while

its used as an antena these days. even has an elevator inside it

Depends on where you're looking from. In the north, it gets blended in behind the other towers. From a distance it stands out. Either way, awesome.

I haven't been out on the west side of town much lately but the best view in my opinion is from the east. It really stands out when you are looking at it from the overpasses on Lagimodiere, for example. North and south views are less impressive.

I find the best views of downtown are coming from the south on Pembina, the east near Dugald/Lag overpasses. And then Disraeli. (So basically all directions haha)

Disraeli is the money shot, but this the new tower is kind of in the back.

^ Yeah, I agree with the view from the south, but when you're talking the best skyline views of 300 Main specifically then it kind of blends in a bit with its neighbours from the north or south.

Rosser road at CentrePort is a pretty good western skyline view.

I'm a sucker for density and depth. To me, the only view that makes Winnipeg's downtown look big city is over the Donald St Bridge. I love seeing buildings peeking behind and around other buildings. 300 Main now offers a bit more just edging above the foreground buildings coming into downtown from the south.

Maybe it is because I have lived my whole life in NE Winnipeg, but I have always thought that the Disraeli view always made downtown look small with it's 4(now 5) buildings. Same with the Forks view.

^ Funny, for me NE Winnipeg is the only quadrant of the city I haven't lived in so trips over the Disraeli are somewhat rare for me. I always enjoyed the skyline view going that way.

Disraeli is best for the P&M cluster. The rest of downtown is hidden behind it. P&M is really the only thing that stand out from a distance though. The rest of the skyline is kind of flat.

As a kid we drove the north Perimeter a lot to and from the farm. And the skyline always stood out, but only P&M really peaks above everything else.
