Just a thought...

When I first heard of the Cogswell lands being redeveloped, I immediately thought this is an excellent opportunity to right some wrongs from the past and recreate a building that was demolished to allow for the interchange. At the top of my list was the Pentagon building. I agree that this could be a signature building blending the past with the future. I would like to see the building form represented as close as practical to the original.
• 38 storeys
• Restaurant and observation at the top
• Quality materials and flatiron appearance
• Perhaps it could be developed by the province and amalgamate provincial offices
• Maybe U/G transit hub connected

I like that idea!

Now, how do we get the ball rolling to convince the govt that it needs to be done?

When I saw this thread title I immediately thought CN Tower, Space Needle, etc. and where it could be located for maximum effect. I didn't at all think extra tall office or residential building. But, of course, there are many examples of iconic tall buildings....Crysler, Empire State, etc. etc. Are any CN type towers being built anywhere around the world nowadays? If Halifax were to build a CN type tower I'd like to see it built in the Dartmouth canal district.
