The real question though, will Ian ever build a tower large enough to house his own ego?

For anyone who has heard the man speak, the answer is obvious.

Ian may not be able to do that in Vancouver proper but sites like the Carter dealership in Brentwood, places in Metrotown, and Surrey City Centre may give him the canvas to fill this itch!

Ask the builders of the Eiffel tower, Chicago's Sear's tower, CN Tower, the Empire State Building, etc.

Why think small when you are capable of thinking HUGE? Oh, right, forgot about birds dying, shadowing and viewcones.

Why build his masterpieces in unknown suburbs when he can built good ones in well-known cities such as Seattle: home to Microsoft, Starbucks and Boeing?

Fire at one of the smaller buildings by Vancouver House.
Feel badly for the fireman at the top of the ladder spraying down onto the flames.
Sorry for the grainy photos, etc. Shot from inside thru the snowstorm.

Looks great, although the proportions of the lowrise cladding and openings don't match the highrise.

Well, obviously this view will be disappearing before too long. As seen from Davie Street just west of Burrard.

Reading up on that property. It's on the market but i don't see it sold and the zoning is only for a maximum height of 300 feet (91.4 metres), info from 2017.

Yes, that's what I was getting at. But at least what will block the view will be a swoopy and interesting looking building (the Burrard Place office tower).
