I used to be skeptical of the Big Apple as well. I must have driven by it 50 times before I decided to stop. In reality, it is actually a very nice place. The building next door houses a restaurant, a grocery store, some of the nicest 'truck stop' bathrooms you will find, and (of course) the bakery where they bake their delicious pies. Consider me a convert.

It's impossible to find anything in Jysk, the stores are a total mess! Also they always smell like burning hot rubber! I to, despise Jysk.

What about Party City? I cannot stand Party City!

It's kind of weird, in Europe, Jysk seems to occupy a respectable midrange market space where in Canada it's positioned as something of a bargain basement imitation of IKEA. Unless I misread where Jysk stands in Europe?

I went into a golf store (can’t remember if it was them or Nevada Bob’s) a couple of years ago that still had tube tv displays above the shelves. They weren’t on and had a film of dust on them.

Found this and thought you might like it, I checked Google Maps, it's 20 minutes away from Edmonton.

Does any sport with a large number of active participants, other than golf, have its own dedicated big box barf store? None that I can think of. Does Bass Pro Shops count?

My Scores feast:

Also the salad bar had a thing called "feta and beat" medley and it was just beats. I tried asking the waitress what she would eat at Scores and she said "I don't know, I don't really eat here" which was a huge red flag . I ordered this because I remembered it from SSP and it was the only thing I knew was at Scores (plus I thought you guys would get a kick out of it).

EDIT: The coffee at that place also sucked. Here are some pics of the inside of the franchise I went to (not mine).

Feel your soul dying yet?

Yes there was a news article about it that I shared in the Ugly thread last year. It’s a bed and breakfast.

Hahaha thank you! So you suffered for us? Lol.

Only thing missing is the coffin shaped salad bar I saw in Boucherville.

Yes and no on the suffered for you, I was in the Trainyards power centre and I was hungry and I was parked in front of Scores. Only once I sat down did it occur to me that "Oh yeah, this is that shitty restaurant from SSP. I would have left (or just ordered something less shitty) but I decided to suffer for you guys . It probably did have had a coffin shaped salad bar before renovations. The place reminded me of Chotskies in Office Space.

Only my waitress obviously hated her job and the food at Scores!

When did amateur sports become so friggen expensive? I guess it always was.

And get ready for the soul-sucking interior!

They have bad produce, the checkout system is terrible, and florescent lights give me a headache due to this, I loathe Stupid-Bore!

Chotskies was based off of TGI Friday's, when I went to TGIF my waiter was exactly like Brian, made me want to slam my head into the table (if it didn't have so much grease on it).

To understand how bad the mozza sticks are at TGIF, read this. Truly some of the worst things I have eaten!
