Thanks to those who've posted these updates, as this thread had been kind of quiet as of late. These three new towers in or near the Arts District are really going to add some heft to this side of the skyline, and the Victor under construction near the AA Center will help further tie in the Victory Park and Uptown areas with this growth spurt. Can't wait to see what the skyline looks like in another year.
Now can we get something over 600 feet pleeeeeaaasseee.

BUILD IT. BUILD EVERYTHING. BUILD IT ALL.
Canada-based North American Development Group presented the latest plans for the proposed project at a recent meeting of the Oak Lawn Committee.
The brick and cast-stone building would have six floors of residential units on top of ground floor retail and a parking garage.

The proposed mixed-use building is in an area that's seeing significant redevelopment. A couple of blocks away on Congress Avenue, builder Toll Brothers has just broken ground for a 22-story apartment high-rise. And farther down Oak Lawn at Lemmon Avenue, StreetLights Residential is seeking zoning approvals for a 21-story residential and retail tower.
The west corner of Oak Lawn and Lemmon avenues is taken up by surface parking lots and an aging service station. There's a fast food outlet at the back of the block.
Developers hope to elevate the corner with a new apartment high-rise and retail that includes the flagship Eatzi's store.

The 21-story, 297-unit apartment tower would have 8,000 square feet of retail space on the Oak Lawn and Lemmon sides.
The brick and cast-stone high-rise would mimic landmark buildings in the neighborhood.
Developers redoing blocks of old buildings on downtown Dallas' far east side are upping their game with new construction.

Now the Dallas-based developer is filling a vacant block between the historic buildings it's renovating with a new high-rise retail, office and apartment project.
The 17-story tower is planned at the intersection of Jackson Street and Cesar Chavez Boulevard near Deep Ellum and the Farmers Market.

Merriman Anderson Architects designed the East Quarter high-rise project, and Andres Construction will be the general contractor. Work is scheduled to begin on the tower later this year, with the project to open starting in 2021.
Pennsylvania-based homebuilder Toll Brothers has started construction on the 22-story residential high-rise on Congress Avenue between Turtle Creek and Oak Lawn Avenue.

The tower by WDG Architecture will have 270 rental units. There's also a pool deck, a fitness center, a game room, a "sky lounge" and a dog wash.

Toll Brothers Apartment Living recently started work on a new apartment project on Commerce Street in West Dallas. And the developer is a partner in another rental community development in Frisco.
