Thanks for the pics, SteveD. Sometimes I wish I lived in ATL so I could contribute some cool pics.

Thanks ATLmangum! But hey, you are in Chicago! Surrounded by the country's best architecture and skyline! (IMO) I, for one, can NEVER get enough of the Chicago skyline, so submit away!

I will as soon as I get a new camera. My fiance had her purse stolen a few months back and it had our camaera in it. We just took an architecture tour this past weekend and this city is AMAZING! As soon as I get a camera I will take some pics and post them in a new thread. I think it will be cool to see what Atlanta is shooting for.

I know this has nothing to do with 12 CP so... Big Ups to 12 CP!

That bluish glass is hideous. I think this may be the ugliest Novare yet.

On another note, the parking lot behind 615 is almost gone. And I noticed the whole area around Visions and Metro is fenced off, except for the entrance to the bank. Looked like they had pulled everything they could out of Visions.

I don't see how you can say that, they aren't even near finished yet. I don't see how it can be worse than Realm or Spire, both with blue glass as well. I personally think the blue glass will add some color to downtown. I just hope they don't use the white facade, but I think they will.

I think it will blend in fine with everything else downtown, a number of other buildings downtown have unique features to them also. However we will have to wait and see what this will look like as it gets closer to completion before making any assesments.

I was walking around downtown yesterday morning and got a close look. The construction is coming along nicely. I kind of liked the blue glass. Here's a few photos taken as I was walking by (8/13/06):

The blue glass would look great if it stayed bare concrete. Every Novare project looks 10i342198490328049324x better with just concrete. Twelve AS and Metropolis make Realm and Spire pale in comparison.

mayhem: I noticed the concrete is textured with indentations and lines, kind of like 12 AS. That makes me think this concrete will be left bare.

^^^ That's what I was thinking. On the other hand, the rendering appears to have a slightly beige color but that may just be artistic interpretation.

Anyway, count me in the liking the blue glass camp.

I can't tell from this picture but I think they might go with the white that we see on Spire and Realm, but I could be wrong. Somebody should go by the sales center and take some pics of the model. You would think they would stick with the "12" theme of 12 AS.

I saw the model in person and it's white.

FWIW, the concrete in the Twelve AS rendering looked kind of white too:

I'd be very surprised if they painted the concrete at Twelve CP white. Once you paint something the maintenance cost goes way up. I'm no building expert, but I would think that if they wanted it to be white, they would have just used a white mixture concrete. My bets are that Twelve CP will have the concrete just like Twelve AS.

It's vague, but I think I asked a sales rep if it would be white and was told yes.

They sold 50% in the first six weeks after opening the sales office (several investors included I'm sure). I would assume its slowed down since then.

yeah, I recently decided against purchasing there. They'd said they would start on the second tower when the first was 80% sold; since 2nd tower isn't underway, we can assume they aren't there yet.
