Stoop Bird is gonna love it so much he'll never leave the stoop (apologies for my obscure Hey Arnold references).

I was told six flags had sold them all of their old water cannons from the log chute and anytime a bird lands the homeowner/guests can insert a quarter and it sprays them away. If you don’t pay your condo HOA fees they turn the cannons toward u window and blast them all day so u can’t see your pretty view anymore

Man, I really hope Iron Works BBQ holds on amidst all of this long-term. Super cool to have a little tin-roof barbecue spot in the middle of all the modern towers going in.

Also, seconded on the excellent photos! These are great.

Waterline (not a fan of this name, btw) already dominates the intersection of RR and CC, like no other building in Austin. It’s imposing.

It’s awesome. When the building is completed and the area is fully activated, Rainey will be the place to live downtown.

yeah, not really and probably will always be seen as the "value option" for downtown, and we haven't even started with the traffic issues from everyone of these buildings having 15 floors of parking, two streets to leave the neighborhood through and the i35 rebuild.

Thanks for the comments. I really wish the burnt orange shows more. Maybe its the lighting? I really don't want this to be an off white building that if you look very close then you might see color. I really love everyone else pictures of the orange accents, I just wish they stood out more.

I hope the ceiling of the top parapet overhang is the same accent color. It'll be easily seen if it is. I guess we'll have to wait for the post-topping-out glow-up to know for sure.

Does it bother anyone else that those 10 levels of just parking face Cesar Chavez? That is parking, yeah? Could've been some nice downtown views for hotel guests. I actually love that the copper orange kinda fades from far away and doesn't give West Campus housing.

Yeah, I'm fairly sure the hotel starts at the point where the podium skews towards the creek and the balconies start.

To be fair, the location for the garage seems to be the best spot if you think about it. The Hotel faces the more inviting incoming Waterloo Greenway and river rather than a dull intersection on the other side. Also I could be wrong, (someone can clarify this) but it seemed to me like they built the garage portion flat levels with ramps to each section rather than the garage itself angled. It's quite possible they could at some point in the future convert the garage if the need ever arises. I could be wrong and will go back to look at earlier pictures, but they didn't seem angled to me.

Great photos, Riverranchdrone! Looks like it's about four ninths of the way up.
