Rome - 35 pics (!!56k!!)

OK, well looking back over these pics I wasn't exactly satisfied with a lot of them. These are the best ones of the 100 or so I took. Anyway as you might imagine I hit up all the touristy spots, the old ruins, the Vatican (although not the Sistine chapel, there was a line literally half a mile long) and some of the great Renaissance structures of the city. So, here goes:

Cool man. Just watch out on the Metro - those little Gypsy kids will literally steal your wallet in the blink on an eye. And if you want to visit the Vatican museum/Sistine chapel - early, early, early! Like, show up at 5:00am. Seriously, it's a madhouse from about 7:00 until it closes.

Awesome photos! I need to get to Rome, pronto. I love the mood/lighting of the last photo, it has a sort of quiet before a storm look about it.

BTW, about how old is a typical Roman edifice spanning most streetscapes?

Rome is always on my "places to visit before I seize to exist" list. Thanks for posting!
