I certainly wouldn't want to cross one of those spiders. I really, really don't like any of them, never mind poisonous ones that you have in Australia.

Nice shots there. Sydney's skyline has changed quite a bit in the last 10 years.

So many comments on the spiders and none on the giant bats (photo #35). That's unfair.

I don't know if they're seasonal, or permanent residents of Sydney, but I saw them taking over the city, every evening. I was impressed. When they stretch their wings, they're huge.
The following pictures were taken by day. Apparently, they don't live in a cave.

As long as the bats eat the spiders, I guess they're the lesser of 2 evils.

Nice set Fabb, gotta love Sydney. She's right mate.

I've had to live with the pain of my Navy ship not visiting OZ because we got stuck in the Middle East Yom Kippur war back in '73, and lost our opportunity.

ANZAC Bridge? Check.

World Tower? Check.

Chiefly Tower? Check.

View of the city from Mosman? Check.

Memories of living in Sydney in 2004? PRICELESS.

Thanks for the photo... and memories, mate. She's apples.

Not very big (the body is about 3 cm or 1 inch in length). And you have to add the legs (do they count ?)

The real scary one is... the deadly Sydney Funnel Web Spider :

(not my photo)
