First crane base in. I'm guessing this one will have 2 cranes. It's a huge site.

I would say there is the possibility of 3 on this site. We shall see what happens.

This looks to be the same tower section that belongs to the crane recently removed from the Maple. Arnoldin (form work company from the Maple) still has the "Southwest" branded concrete pumping arm in their yard, so I would assume they have a deal or at least an inside track for a few Southwest buildings. Arnoldin also looks to have cleaned up the crane last used in West Bedford, so I think we'll see that as a second here. Two cranes on this site would mean all four of Arnoldin's current cranes are in use.

The crane boom is partially assembled in the pit and I think there is a street closure for tomorrow to put it up.

Yep, was d/t today and tried to go down So. Park but was detoured around the block because large crane sections were in the street being set up and moved by a large mobile crane.

I can see the crane being installed from my patio! It's too cold to get a good zoomed in shot but it'll be fun watching this development rise.

...footing forms going in today

...the wooden wall with the steel posts is likely temporary...the space behind it has been filled in to allow delivery trucks to get in close to the site

Watching the webcam it looks like another tower crane base footing may have been cut out yesterday at the bottom of the screen. It wouldn't leave much room for swing.

It's great that there is a webcam to follow the construction.

There is a lot of construction happening on the peninsula.

That could also just be for the elevator/stair core. But here's hoping for another crane!

Yes that cut-out is for the elevators. But there may eventually be another shorter crane up in the YMCA area.
