It would be nice to see something happen with that site, keeping much of the original industrial buildings.

Great shots!

Unfortunately, at 46 degrees north, Moncton is too far south to enjoy northern lights.

I did see a nice display once in Edmonton though. Fascinating stuff.

Great photos... so beautiful. Believe it or not, I've actually seen them from Victoria a few times. Very rare though.

I finally uploaded the second half of my Victoria photos that I took last week and thought I'd share them tonight.

I'm sensing a definite progression when it comes to flatiron buildings as proxies for urban heft.

Victoria looks absolutely amazing! I'm really impressed. There aren't many cities in Canada that I really want to visit, but Victoria is definitely one of them. The pics posted in this thread have sold me.

But it was not always that way

Great Pictures Great Scaper! A couple of new views I have seen highlighted here before.

My fav Montreal pic in the set above is the alley between Gagnon and Fluevog, great atmosphere and lighting.

A random selection of photos from my iPhone from this summer. Yes, there are quite a few of my new muse - River Landing.

I had a much shorter work day the other day so I drove to Yates Street and parked my truck and spent about half an hour taking some photos. These are mostly taken in the Harris Green neighborhood.

I'm so glad I got this photo today as they were just starting to tear down the building. So happy to have a record of what use to be.

Took the kids to Niagara today. Went up the Skylon Tower for the first time. Don't know why I hadn't before.

Also, finally got to try out the new track that opened a couple of years ago. I've done basically every go kart track within one hour of the GTA, going back 20 years. Finally crossed this one off.

It was as fun as it looks. Had a blast. Obviously, like any fun track, the entire thing is flat out. If you know the racing line, you never have to take your foot off the throttle. So it wasn't fun for any technical reason, it was because of the novelty of it but also they put like three dozen karts out at the same time so it's quite the mix of drivers who know what they're doing and total noobs.

Because the track is flat out, it's impossible to pass someone who knows what they're doing unless you encounter the slow pokes. Oh what fun it was to guess which noob was going to go which way and either avoid them or use them to your advantage when trying to pass one of your peers.

And god damn is it fun going downhill. The first crest is actually a blind brow. And even though they limit the speed of the karts when you reach that section, it's still a thrill dropping down like that. It's basically the Corkscrew at Laguna Seca. And thank God they actually do slow you down because if not, there would be massive pileups and karts flying off the track from fifteen feet up.
