Some amazing sets this week! Nice selection of cities as well. The Montreal ones are still my favourite but always good to have the extra variety.

Photos here are great, but I'd prefer the curated thumbnails we were getting a while back. It's much less overwhelming and good photos don't get lost in the scroll. Nothing against the posters themselves or even the quality of the photos. I'm sorry if it came across that way.

I tried the thumbnails for a while and it was 3 times the work and you had to go through another page to access the full pic. Not very practical and pretty much useless if you look at the thread through a smaller mobile screen.

Those Niagara Falls photos are beautiful! I have way more respect and admiration for the Skylon Tower now, love the retro mid-century vibes it gives off and it’s aged beautifully.

Also, what is that giant abandoned factory building in Montreal? That’s a place that gives parents nightmares because you know kids are going to explore and get up to all sorts of trouble in there!

I agree with Zoomer. That old factory building is awesome and would be so fun to explore. I also love the old large cathedral in the middle of a housing suburb. Great photos all round.

Are the pink and red "houses" on top meant to be artwork?

It looks like it has a lot of potential!

Some of the old industrial plants in Hamilton have been redeveloped. One was turned into studio and work space tailored to the arts, another has become a business park that will retain some of the original factory buildings. McMaster University is about to transform another large plant that's been empty for decades into what will be called The Glass Warehouse, as part of its Innovation Park.

There are still many of those hulks around town though, or land that sits empty after the buildings were demolished but in need of expensive remediation.

I wouldn't want to see them turned into condos (in a few cases that may work) but if they can be reborn as commercial/industrial properties it would be such a great thing for the sites and the cities!
