^ There IS an Evanston north of foster.
Looking at all these photos, it gives the impression that there isn't anything north of Foster...
seriously though, the photographer clearly hit up downtown and worked his way south along the main/hinman corridor, then over to st. francis and wrapped it all up on howard street. west evanston and north evanston are more single-family home streetcar-suburban-esue by comparison, which isn't a bad thing thing, but perhaps not the types of hoods the photographer was most interested in capturing.
at no point did the photographer claim that these represented all of evanston in its totality.
