Anybody notice the new sign for 'El Furniture Warehouse' on Granville? I'm not sure how long it has been up but it looks kind of cool, Vegas-inspired. Looks like they changed the places name though. The sign says something like "Vancouver's Fabulous Warehouse" or something like that.

I've never heard of them before last week, but they keep showing up in the papers. They don't look like someone who I'd enjoy listening to

You know what would be good ? To have one page that contains a calendar with ALL the events happening in metro Vancouver. Right now, I can see that there are plenty of events happening within the metro but I wouldn't have known about them without hearing about it from somebody. What say you that we create a group calendar using Google Canlendar and just put all the events up there and get more people to join and post events that they know about up there as well ?

Isn't that what the Georgia Strait is for? It certainly isn't for it's articles.

I've always been a fan of Mylo's remix of Tegan and Sara's cover of Walking With A Ghost. Great track to listen to while on the subway.

Well they should promote these events more. I think thats the problem. There isnt any good promotional groups in this city. Back in Mtl, every second person you met in college was promoting a party with some sick dj at it evey weekend. I dont get the same feel here. I should become a promoter! Im good with this stuff haha

For electronica events, there is a master list and tonnes of discussion over at http://www.tranceaddict.com. I use that exclusively for my event listings.

Also, going to Benny Benassi. If it weren't during the Olympics, there is no way that I would pay the price (given that he is probably about $30-$40 in Seattle).

I dunno, it was on twitter feeds a while back and I posted this event on an Olympic thread just as the Victory Ceremony performers were announced. Everyone I know is talking about it. But in terms of posters and bills, I haven't seen those yet.

It's gonna be great. Totally seeing Steve Aoki and mstrkrft!
