Here's a few shots from around central Winnipeg today. It was a bit overcast and I'm a bit of a shitty photographer. But it was still nice to get out for a while. This Sunday there wasn't much activity going on downtown, but rest assured when the warmer weather hits I'll be out with a camera like a skirt chasin', drag racing hardcore motherfucker with a taste for crime.
Without further ado -
Aztec meets Dr. Seuss:
Bus shelter at the ass end of the UofW:
Lonely Balconies:
What a view!
From left to right: Flagship Hudson Bay store, Manitoba Legislative Building, Winnipeg Art Gallery. Some of my shots are bit blurred, but that's the price I pay as the world's paramount Pogo Stick Photographer (PSP):
Reminds me a lil' of Dusseldorf or something:
A touch of diversity:
The fella on the left reminds me a tad of a library on Wabash in Chicago:
My internet is running slower than a suicidal, semi comatose snail on morphine with a Valium chaser:
The Inner City:
This is a photo I like to call "7219/7103601591_7b8787903b_z.jpg:"
My greenhouse:
Self Portrait:
This photograph has been brought to you in part by counterfeit Viagra, givin' kick to your stick since 1993:
Portage Place Mall, an 80s revitalization project in dire need of revitalization:
The northwest fringe of downtown:
The Manitoba Hydro Building is in the background; it's our newest important highrise downtown, completed in 2008, I believe. The spine on the front is actually a solar chimney:
The Ghost Tree, as somebody may have once called it:
Not sure why I included this shot. Here's 3.6 seconds of your life you'll never get back:
Centennial Park 'hood:
Going to this church is a deeply touching experience. If you're a boy, and under the age of 11:
I want to say that this church dates from 1882, but I could be a bit off, as I was too lazy to walk to the front of the building to read the sign:
I enjoy this:
It was at a pad around here that I learned that showing up at a "BYOB" party with a shopping bag full of barbiturates is in bad taste:
Typical downtown shot:
Perhaps it's nothin' special, but I've always liked this guy:
S'more from a parking lot the size of Baltimore:
Graham Avenue, a major transit hub:
Here's a thing:
Across the street from where Bruce Wayne's parents were murdered. True story:
From atop the pad of our hilariously shitty underground mall:
Did I mention how slow my computer was a runnin'? At this rate 1764 new buildings will top out before I've finished uploading this shit:
South East corner of Portage and Main:
Main Street lookin' Eastish:
Bank of Cairo:
Main Street looking Northish, if you're into that sort of thing:
I can dig it:
II:
The refurbished Avenue Building, partly obscured by a tree that I have since cut down:
Some Portage Avenue Action:
Winnipeg's current tallest (foreground):
To satiate my countless fans who have begged for a photo of a mundane alley:
This is also a street:
An Earth Day march. Nobody seemed receptive about my development of a coal powered sedan:
This was the first place I lol'd as your ex-gf omg'd:
This pole (mused the priest) ruins everything:
Least but not last:
Well, that's what today looked like. If you would like to see tomorrow, please contact Christopher Lloyd:
Thanks for taking the time to browse my photography of dubious quality. Word!
