I like the direction of this photo. I think it aims to capture that 1940's Gotham peaks look. The modern day Gotham City!!!

This is what I meant...

Many of those classic NYC gothic peaks have been drowned out by modernist space-filling boxes.

Nevertheless it is an awesome shot of contemporary NYC, hope they take it again once this SHoP masterpiece is done. Maybe extend the pano east to get in the Chrysler and One Vanderbilt; would be an even more amazing shot.

Yeah I think once all the towers are complete, I'd definitely like to see a before and after shot from similar angles showing what 70+ years has resulted in change wise.

But we don't even have to go back 70 years either, literally just go back 10 years to see very dramatic change.
