Love seeing so many cranes on the skyline. Once the Virgin Hotel starts going up, we'll see another one added.

Good new on the economy front: the metro is up nearly 13,000 jobs year over year. I was a bit worried for a while given the thousands of housing units opening up, but they shouldn't have any trouble filling them with those kinds of jobs numbers.

Good to see Charity moving along with an ambitious construction schedule. I'm assuming Tulane is still the anchor tenant. Given the amount of space, I wonder where they are planning to vacate. Maybe selling the building at 131 S Robertson St would make sense as it's rather isolated from the rest of the downtown campus.

More on the Warwick Hotel redevelopment. Sounds like they are looking more at apartments rather than hotel.

Hey guys here is a good listen on the direction our local and regional economic leaders see the city headed in, it was also a mention of Amazon coming to Louisiana to seek and develop a partnership with Louisiana colleges which is the first and only kind of partnership between amazon and a State. That could be good news for a possible amazon tech office opening up in the state.

All we know is that the state passed legislation allowing the convention center to own a hotel.. thats the most recent development with it. Im assuming things were put on hold til that was passed in May. So My guess is full construction plans take several months to formulate. But just a guesstimate

It's astounding this architect continues to get paying work in this city.
