i love this building. i wish they had built it even bigger. like another 10 or 15 stories then it would really pop from the west view too.

Possibly a mechanical penthouse. If you look closely, there other rebar columns further in from the perimeter. I also see galvanized steel which can indicate, in some instances, a mechanical penthouse exposed to the elements or for some sort of structure for a crown.

They're now working on the mechanical floors 47 & 48. They were still fitting the forms on the rebar columns today. See the link below to see the stacking plan:
