IMO, the best angle of this tower is when you are travelling south on St. Joseph boulevard in Hull. It looks extremely huge from that vantage point.

I picked up the brand new DJI Mavic Mini micro drone on release day yesterday and I've been having a blast with it. It is light enough that it's classified as a toy in Canada so I am able to fly it legally and safely in more places than my other drone. I got a few shots today including this one:

Brigil is proposing to build a 28 storey high-rise apartment building at 99 Parkdale Avenue. The building will contain 240 units consisting of:

• 24 studios,
• 103 1-bedroom units, and
• 113 two-bedroom units.

Vehicular parking to the site’s underground parking structure will be accessed via a shared entrance at 121 Parkdale Avenue. This joint access is via the municipal lane that is found immediately east of the subject site. This lane extends from Burnside Avenue to Emmerson Avenue. The previous site plan had a separate access to the garage for 99 Parkdale.

In total, the 220 parking spaces for 99 Parkdale will be distributed within six (6) levels of underground parking (197 residential parking spaces and 23 visitor parking spaces). In addition, a total of 131 bicycle parking spaces will also be provided as part of this development.

Immediately to the south of the Subject Property is 121 Parkdale Avenue, a mixed use high-rise building currently under construction. This building will be 32 storeys with 283 residential units and 351.8 m2 or commercial/retail space. The parking structure will be connected underground with the parking garage of the Subject Property and 99 and 121 Parkdale will share this new access ramp to the underground parking facilities. It is envisioned that the roof top of the two storey podiums (99 & 121 Parkdale) would also be connected to provide a shared amenity space for either building.

So I didn't count but I assume this is the taller of the two?

Loving the drone shots!

The above photo is of 121 Parkdale (105.1m, 32f). To the left (north) will be 99 Parkdale (90.6m, 28f).

Brigil applies to build second tower at Parkdale Avenue ‘luxury’ development

By: OBJ staff
Published: Dec 2, 2019 3:32pm EST

Developer Brigil has applied to build a 28-storey apartment building next door to its upcoming 32-storey highrise on Parkdale Avenue across from the Tunney’s Pasture government complex.

According to a site plan control application filed recently with the city, the proposal for 99 Parkdale Ave. would see a second building with 240 residential units connected to Brigil’s 230-unit apartment currently under construction at 121 Parkdale Ave. The two buildings will share amenities through a two-storey podium and a 220-spot, six-storey underground parking garage.

The 99 Parkdale proposal falls within approved height limits for the site, which was previously set for a project from developer Urbandale that never took off.

Brigil is advertising the 121 Parkdale project as “luxury” rental suites, with occupancy planned for next summer.

It's looking good from a distance. In all honesty, I think the height as is quite satisfactory instead of having increased it to 40 floors or so.

Nice shot. I wasn't expecting this one would have such a significant impact on the skyline from so many angles.

October 2020:

Is it just me, or is progress on finishing this tower moving very slow?

Thanks for posting. Finishing work always seems to take a long time, but overall the project went up pretty quickly I think.

Pretty basic design, but well executed. Good quality materials.

Compared to Icon, with an amazing design but very poor quality finishes. That one is taking forever to complete.

This project has been rebranded as 'The Dale'. Also the Brigil site calls it a 33 story building, but it is definitely 32. Did they omit the 13th floor on the elevator? Is that even common practice these days?
