New Camera = Sexy Vancouver Pics

Hi all, since I got a new camera recently I've been going to town taking photos and need something to do with them so here they are!

Here are some of my Canada Day pics from Wednesday:

From just after the parade, which I missed the end of as I was running to get my camera

Finding a place to watch the fireworks

And here are some random pics I took all over the place yesterday (Thursday):

View from Broadway SkyTrain Station

Commercial Drive

Love the Mona Lisa t-shirt

A brief glimpse of the Olympic Village in the Southeast False Creek area

Cambie Street Bridge

Looking towards the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood

City Hall on the bottom left

Outside of an art gallery

A Vancouver institution

Granville Street

The end. For now.

Some very nice photos.
White balance is a little to the cool side for my liking but this isn't a photography forum so that doesn't really matter

^Thanks for the tip. This is my first SLR so I'm not all that familiar with things like white balance just yet. I've still got a lot of manual reading to do unfortunately.

The City is completely redoing Granville Street - altering the lanes, the on-street parking, the sidewalk treatment, widening sidewalks, planting different trees, installing new street furniture, lighting etc. The Roxy just has that sign up so that people realize it is still open during construction so that they don't lose any business.
