Having just returned from a 10 day, 3300+ mile road trip, I wanted to post these pics while they are still relevant. My main focus was not on skylines but more on buildings under construction, though a few skyline shots did make it in. First, we left Austin and headed straight for Dallas where we bought the Harry Potter- the Half Blood Prince unabridged audio book to help pass the time. Don’t worry, for those of you who have not made it this far yet, I will not say anything more of the book other than it made driving dozens of hours much more palpable. Now, please follow me:
Driving up Central
Notice all of the cranes in the Arts District
Next, we headed up I-30 and caught I-40 in Little Rock then headed east through Memphis until we reached Nashville and sought out a Holiday Inn Express. For all Little Rock and Memphis boosters, I apologize but due to the darkness none of my pics are worthy of posting. However, my Nashville pics turned out ok.
Viridian, looking good.
Next, we made it to Winston-Salem. Our first stop was in Old Salem.
After WS, we went down to visit the Queen. Trademark is now topped out at 29 stories I believe.
Then the beatiful Avenue rising.
This is sure to be my third favorite building in Charlotte.
Guess where I'm going?
That’s right, were going to the Big Peach, the city where Novare breeds. TWELVE is looking sharp.
Heading up Peachtree
Viewpoint taking shape
Though I had experienced it many times before, my fiancée insisted that we do the World of Coke Museum. I was happy to taste Beverly once again, disgusting and wonderful at the same time.
1010 trying to come up
1010 is really going to change this view
I really look foward to seeing Atlantic Station 10 years from now.
The new 5th runway at Hartsfield.

Gallery, Novare sure does spoil Atlanta. Can't wait till they start doing more of that here in Austin.

The new Aquarium was a must for us. Notice the new World of Coke rising nearby.
They expect this guy to grow to 40 feet in length.
Very thick!
Pulling into New Orleans under a bloody sky was quite fitting.
It's past my bedtime, goodnight.
