So I did something I somehow never thought of doing before... I photographed Downtown Pittsburgh from the roofs of most parking garages Downtown. So these photos will offer a bit of an "elevated" perspective that is hopefully new to you.

Mt. Washington condo towers... more are planned to join them... but NIMBYs have held up those projects for years because they're too tall... though they're not as tall as the existing towers... NIMBYs just like to wield their imaginary powers and hold back the city

Evergrey, you seem to never bore me with your Pittsburgh threads. You keep finding new ways to photograph this beautiful town. Every thread is new and has a different concept. Good job.
Great shots of downtown! I love the new perspectives offered by the parking garages and those twilight shots are beautiful. Seems like there is a lot going on downtown... new PNC tower, new condo towers, redevelopment around Fifth and Forbes...

Yeah, soon our downtown will actually have people in it after 5 oclock. We got to get them to keep the coffee shops open after 5:30 now. I always have to run over to Nicholas coffee after work at 5:20 before your last options will be 711.

Any plans for a supermarket downtown to serve the growing residential population? A little while back there was talk of a smaller-scale Giant Eagle.
there are three grocery stores in development Downtown... none is a Giant Eagle of course... Vidalia Fine Foods in the Encore on 7th is slated to open this month... Tresantis European Market will open in the G.C. Murphy building... and the Smithfield Newsstand at Smithfield and Blvd of Allies is building a grocery next door
I am always looking for ways to get off of street level. Its a good thing

As I tried to make sense of that reflection, I found I could not look away. His irises were brown, clouding into orange with brighter flecks around his pupils. Then it became as important not to look as to look, I feared I would be lost in rush of bronze motes."
