Oh ok I was thinking that was going on that lot right there. Hopefully what ever Hotel goes there will be at least 15 story’s and look really nice. I’m wanting the Margaritaville Project downtown to get completed. It’s starting to rise more since I saw it last lol

Those 3 towers going up on Ralph McGill across From Pcm will add more flavor to that area.

Will be nice additions to the area. I’m hoping phase 2 of the project, the Southwest section, will keep up the density. If I was Jim Irwin, id be putting my weight behind making this area a “town square”. It would support his vision of having it as a stop for that streetcar on the BeltLine.

We got a notice of a Cabbagetown/Reynoldstown community meeting to discuss the Stein Steel redevelopment plans.

Quote:
A zoning application has been filed to redevelop the Stein Steel & Supply site in Reynoldstown. If you'd like your voice to be heard on this matter, please attend the Reynoldstown Zoning Committee Meeting tomorrow (9/10) @ 7pm at the Lang Carson Basketball Courts. Zoning chair Murray Virgil is available should you have any questions (murrayvirgil@yahoo.com). Developer Empire Communities fully expects to continue the conversation with the neighborhood to achieve the best potential mixed use development for the site.

Nice to see Microsoft investing a lot in the city.

I haven't seen this mentioned, but our doorman told us yesterday and he's breaking into real estate, but anyway, he was told by a fellow resident in our building that is friends with the owner of Cheetah, that he sold in the past month for somewhere in the range of 30 million.

Obviously, just passing on what I've heard.

On a side note up the street, I read somewhere those two clubs across from Publix on Spring behind the Chevron were apparently sold, it may have been related to an article about the recent shootings in Midtown and said it's going to be another student tower.

Anyone else hear that one?

I believe someone mentioned this rumor maybe a few weeks back either in this thread or on the Atlanta forum.

That is the Hub on Campus project. This went before the Midtown DRC in December. Someone has suggested that demo will begin soon.

BeltLine DRC is up and it’s a doozy. ~2,000 units included from NW, SW, & SE.

Here’s just one of the projects listed, because Chosewood Park :

New Business: 1335 Boulevard SE – EMPIRE COMMUNITIES
The property is zoned MR-3 and MRC-3-C. The scope of work includes the construction of 782 multifamily rental units, and 398 for-sale (condo/townhome units) with 1,146 parking spaces on total of 33.8 acres. 15% of the units will be designated affordable at 80% of AMI.
