Ouch.

Good luck with the lag. I wish I had some (of the good luck, not the lag).

Perhaps, what do you mean by this? Make a mini-city? Make a diagram like the one Patrick made recently?

yeah , a city like we are doing here with all your best buildings merged on one map like the Dubai model but using our own designed ones

i only have a 156mb video card and 578 ram tho , so i cant set it up + 1 of you guys would be better experienced to take control of putting it together .

Its probably been done before and i noticed in the other SSC forum they had one going but it seems to have died

I had a look at Patricks diagram btw , very cool (excpt for missing 2 aussie buildings that rival Q1 )

Sure, I'm up for it if other people are. Perhaps we'll get 2 or 3 of everyone's best? I have an insane computer, so I'll do the hono(u)rs of putting it together, unless someone else would prefer to.

I guess we would have to check the SSC thread to see what probs caused theirs to die , i know the building requirements they set out may have caused it as they asked for to many things like shading rear faces differently- so they dont have to do shadows i think , the main idea i was thinking is just to get a HUGE instant city

4.6mb? YIKES!

Heres my suggestion, instead of doing individual buildings, why not use Textures? They'd speed up the preformance for sure.

And I think you should put more detail in the ground, you know, Trees, Roads. Yadda Yadda.

hmm , i like the photo realism , but i prefer to sacrifice image quality for the physical quality and the shadowing it creates
