What an amazing picture! I especially love the close-up shot of the insect. I was curious about the camera you used for this shot. I'm typically a Canon EOS DSLR user myself, but I'm interested in knowing about the camera you used

Thanks!

Thanks for your comment!

Which insect picture are you referring to? Hehe it's been a while since I've looked through my older pictures in this thread; I don't use a fancy camera... since around February of 2021, I've been using a Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS100. I used an older Panasonic Lumix prior to February of 2021, but I don't remember the exact model.

You're very welcome!

OK, yeah, I took that photo with a Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5. I just had to look up the model.

My photo dump of ArroyoFest 2023 (Sunday, 10.29.2023).

The last ArroyoFest was held 20 years ago in October of 2003. I'm hoping this becomes an annual event. Basically, 6 or 7 miles of the Arroyo Seco Parkway (CA-110) from Pasadena to Lincoln Heights was shut down to automobile traffic for four hours, and open to pedestrians, runners, cyclists, skateboarders scooter riders... it was fun. I walked a total of 4 miles, from my apartment in South Pasadena to the nearest 110 onramp, which is acually only a few blocks away, and walked to the Highland Park neighborhood of LA, and then walked back to my apartment. The Arroyo Seco Parkway is a landmarked freeway, the oldest freeway in the western United States. It opened in 1940. It was very interesting seeing this freeway, one I drive often, from the perspective of a pedestrian.

The southbound lanes were for walkers/runners/wheelchairs/baby stollers, and the northbound lanes were for cyclists, skateboarders, scooter riders...

I saw and heard the one woman on the right say to the other woman "Aren't you...?" And the other woman said "Yes, I'm Kathryn Barger." Kathryn Barger is one of the 5 LA County Supervisors. She's the only Republican, the rest are Democrats. All of them are women. I did not vote for her. Because of redistricting, my city was included with the very conservative northern half of Los Angeles County.

If I was still 16 I'd be tempted to ride my BMX bike on the top of that center jersey barrier.

I can see that... the top of the barrier is fairly wide, too.

Very random photos I took over the last week, with a blurb in Laguna Beach. Yeah, Laguna Beach is in Orange County, and I've tried to keep this thread an LA County only thread, but I've already previously included Orange County photos in here.
