JFK is an international hub for AA, with very little domestic feed compared to LGA or DCA.
All true, but no service at all to NYC is nonetheless a definite gap which likely flows from the personnel shortage. Both Air Canada and, more recently, Delta have served LGA from here. That route presumably was justified by demand for travel to the NYC market itself, as opposed to ongoing connections.

I am stopping to see family in Halifax before continuing on to the UK. Excellent way to break up the journey and dial back the impact of jet lag! Did notice the LHR flight was arriving late evening, so went with LGW instead. LHR is fine if it’s close to what you need, but couple that late arrival with a 3-4 hour train or 3-8 hour car ride not that fun! Still more international flights than my home airport of YEG!

I see that Air Canada is now running non-stop flights from Halifax to Vancouver. Flight leaves here at 0930 and arrives in YVR just after noontime. Coming here you leave Vancouver at 10:15PM and arrive here at 7:58AM.

I just had a question is American Eagle only seasonal?

Are there any talks on other US airlines on resuming service to Stanfield post pandemic?

Yes it is seasonal running from June 3rd to October 29th to PHL.

It think it is a bit of a joke now that flights to EWR and LGA have not returned, but I understand that LGA and JFK are going through some extensive renovations?

No YHZ-Europe in preliminary S23 schedules. Hopefully that changes.

Edit: also, since we’re on the subject, YHZ-LGW season is cut short and is ending this week, and GLA ends mid Sept as well. Both routes were initially scheduled until end of October. Not a good sign.

Nice! Newark is in a pretty good location, despite appearances. One simple train ride and you're in midtown Manhattan. Door to door for me last time was under an hour, maybe 40'ish minutes.
