Staged building permit was issued for excavation on the 7th for 1065. 1066's shows ready for issue.

Staged building permit for excavation was issued last week for the south tower.
The addresses are now 1098 and 1099 Harwood, thread title amended.

That was an earlier version. They're now going to be charcoal, grey and white, if they're built as the DP render.

I think the thread title is also reflecting an earlier version, they're now both 34 storeys.

Thanks, Changing City.

What a bummer. Those colours and materials would have been a nice change of pace in that area.

I'd argue project feasibility engineering at this point.

Honestly just wanted them to keep what they did on Level 1 even if just in charcoal

They had a mobile drill on the south side I think in prep for doing the pit walls.

1065 - 1066 Harwood Street

(I titled my post for SSP search engine purposes, had proplems finding this thread, there are lots of Harwood)

Yesterday, Apr 17, 2024

Yes, a drill rig is working the south side

That's the quickest excavation of 5 levels of parking that I've seen.

I think there's only 4 levels of parking but the grading on at least one of the lots I guess the deepest end might seem like 5...

Used to live in an apartment building next to these ones in my 20's. Thank god I'm not there now for the construction noise. Downside is that if I was there I would be posting some great content to this thread

That would have been (appreciated) nice.
There are construction shutterbugs out there who are unaware of SkyScapperPage's forum and post there images on r/vancouver and other sites, only to be downvoted and receive derogative comments " Why the hell are you posting photos of a building? what does that do for me? " the comments I was getting before I discovered SSP, but then again that might just be my story . Some hobbies are too geeky to/for others.

^ Nah. That's just r/vancouver. It's a place for introverts to be easily annoyed, terminally-online extroverts.

I'll scroll some r/vancouver topics now and then, but I'll never contribute. It's a complete waste of time trying to figure out what's going to bother the hive mind on any given day.

I tried to post one of my videos about Vancouver as the backdrop of so many films on there, and after quickly getting five positive reactions it was removed by a mod.

Fuck r/Vancouver

Reddit in general is odd. Spend 10 seconds making low quality generic memes, fine, post away, spend tens to some times hundreds of hours creating original video content, that’s spam baby!

I’ll never figure it out. Today’s culture has an inverse relationship between effort and rewards in regards to original self made content.
