Haha! Sorry Jason! But hey, Austin never said we couldn't pick lots already being taken... Let's see what he says.

Yeah two people ( or more ) can have the same lot.

That's the famous Wolfe Point BTW, for those who don't know.

Well I was just gonna pick the empty parking lot because I didn't wanna get rid of the Suntimes Building [I didn't even know what that building was]. But now that I think about it, I think I'll take up the point and the block where the Suntimes Building is too. Just like Jason.

Unless I can find a better lot. Cause really, I didn't even look through the city, I just saw that one and was like, "cool lot."

There are some cool blocks on Michigan Ave, fronting Grant Park that would be nice to knock down the old midrise crap, and build a 1,000 footer. Each block north and south of Congress is good. Each block north and south of 9th is too. I don't know if any of those buildings are 'historic', but they look like they're a dime a dozen that's for sure.

There are also a couple parcels around Columbus/Fairbanks Ave and LSD in Streeterville (just north of the river) that are cool too...

Also, west of the river but east of the Kennedy Expy...

These are good places for a tall building to stand out, but also look good in the skyline imo.

No silly! We just started!

Why aren't you joining SSP100? You make some really good models and this comp is too good to pass!

Wait, do we send Austin our entries or do we just post them here? It's up to Austin.

Reminds me of a project I did in school, where I took a mid-block parcel that was only 32 feet wide and turned it into a 185ft tall condo atop an art gallery, with the tower widening to 50ft at the top. Everyone else did a 3-5 story art gallery with nothing else... I got the highest grade and lots of puzzled stares by other students.

Big parcel. Should give you lots of freedom to do as you wish.

That area has lots of potential to be a nice new district, I wish a good old school architect ( schwarz ) could get a hold of it and fix up the river and add some parks and such, maybe an Olympic stadium...

Thatd be sweet.
