I love the lowrises at the tip of the penninsula. Usually, with other cities, it's the other way around. I also like the park and how the highway wraps around the city.
Looking foward to the next update.

Sounds like you're gonna work hard on this city. I like the layout. Very nice and organized (although not as much as Dac's). The only thing I find a little weird is that you're not making skyscrapers at the tip or the peninsula, after all, this would be one of the most desirable parts of town since it's open, lots of vies, and I guess it just happens that way. The rivers are a little thin too, make the rivers wider so you can make bomb ass bridges.
I still like the amount of details you put into your buildings. And I love that you added trees and dept to the lake in the park. That building with the disk floor at the top looks cool too.

I have an idea. Make buildings at the tip with historic significance and pre-1940's architecture. Stick with some 4-10 floors and maybe a 15 floors tower here and there. You can make the city hall here, the stock exchange building, the federal courthouse, and all the old, roman looking buildings. Then like 4 or 5 blocks away from the tip you can start making mid-rises like 20-50 floors and 7 or so blocks from the tip you can make tall skyscrapers.

A nice layout would be to have the lowrises at the tip (historic ones like Aleks suggested would be great!) but do have a couple of skyscrapers and/or midrises mixed in all those. That way, your not obstructing the view of everything with a constant wall of skyscrapers, but your still being a bold city with tall ones right on the waterfront like NYC!
Yeah, you should remove the people, but is a very good building, stern, but not really a courthouse, maybe Federal offices, social security, or even branch headquarters of the F.B.I?
It's a nice building. But yes, remove the statues. And maybe make it the original Scottsburg Times building, but I don't think it should be a government building. As long as it's part of something that changed the city like the original post office, news paper building, or the first bank founded in the city, it's ok with me.

The overall design of your courthouse is excellent, however, the people should be replaced with something more professional, perhaps flags that hang down towards the ground at an angle.
I disagree with those who think that it doesn't look like a courthouse, because it really does in fact.
No, it does not look like the traditional greek revival styled column entranceway type of courthouse (like the mid-rise condos in my avatar), but it certainly has a federal or municiple vibe (or for whatever level of govt. the courthouse it is at).
Not all courthouses have to look similar. However, if your goal was to make it easily distinguishable as a courthouse, you probably should alter one side to have a column type of entranceway, but don't change the whole building, because I absoluteley love the design and I think it's a great landmark for your city.
The ideal side for this revision would be the shortest of the three sides with length.
Does this look big enough to be the public library? if not what could it be (if you think i should even keep it)? Also it's not done yet i still have to put in windows and brick details
I think it's a substantial size, and it's a very interesting concept. It reminds me a great deal of the Lincoln Memorial. I look foward to seeing it with more detail, textures, etc...

That's HUGE! I like it just add details. I love old library looking buildings but at the same time I love new modern libraries and I can never make up my mind on what to make in my cities. Is the library gonna be in the tip of the peninsula or farther into the middle?
