It’s hardly a graceful curve.
I miss the old Mount st Joseph.

I can't believe the city will have to look at this for the next 150 years...

Am I missing something? I mean its hardly an architectural masterpiece - but, it is a Hampton Inn...

yea - it's obviously not good.. but it's a pretty bland, basic building which isn't overly offensive. it'll get a bit better once the landscaping is in.

Yeah, it's not great... but it's not nearly as bad as others are making it out to be.
Plus it may look a bit better when it's fully done.

150 years? It won't last nearly that long.

This really needs some tall trees to cover the majority of the frontage....

Agreed. Plenty of landscaping will help.

It's not THAT bad. The podium makes it look worse.

The landscaping actually may help it, so I'll reserve judgement until then.

I am glad to see it not being stalled out, wish the work would commence on the 25 storey tower.

Honestly I think the curved podium is the only thing of interest on it - I am just so tired of blocky black and white rectangular buildings of no interest.

At least people will have a view of the scottish rite building then they stay there, that's saying something.. well that and the giant monstrosity they built beside it lol..

..but yeah, some bigass trees would be nice, esp considering what this plot used to look like. I kinda miss the wrought iron fence that used to be there. My mom used to work there at the sisters of st josephs convent. I wonder whatever happened to the cross - apparently that was their condition for allowing them to build on that property, that they had to put the cross somewhere.. I am sure he "conveniently" misplaced it..

It’s nothing special, but it doesn’t seem as remarkably ugly as I’d expected.

The Hilton website lists the Hampton Inn at 7 Queen St N as opening on 3 JULY 2023.
