"Sunoco Logistics Partners L.P. announced Thursday an enormous $2.5 billion pipeline project that will quadruple the volume of Marcellus Shale natural gas liquids moving through the Philadelphia area."

""This vital energy project will provide a comprehensive solution in the region to transport, store and process NGLs from the Marcellus and Utica Shales, and will provide the foundation for the continuing rebirth of the local manufacturing sector," said Michael J. Hennigan, Sunoco Logistics' chief executive."

"In its announcement Thursday, Sunoco Logistics said it is also "actively developing" the addition of an natural gas liquids manufacturing complex at Marcus Hook property, including a propane dehydrogenation to manufacture propylene."

I was disappointed that article didn't mention how many jobs this would result in, since that's what the Kerkstra Prophecy fortells.

Wow. Just saw that myself. I remember a few short years ago the Marcus Hook refineries were closing, or operating on very limited schedules. Folks in the industry were depressed, one lifer I know was looking to relocate to Louisiana. ...Well, no more.

8 story apartment building. About half will be low income housing (low income for Center City - as in making $30-$40k a year).

That was actually down the street from my apartment so I went to check it out, looks like they were lifting HVAC stuff for the former warehouse turned
center of the internet at that intersection.

22nd and Walnut lot - Walnut Estates.

Not as bad as I thought. I'm glad the 5 floor condo building with ground floor retail faces Walnut. Looks like a nice modern design.

It was granted approval by the ZBA. Renderings in the article below.

What's the plan for the lot directly north of the bf bridge on Columbus? Some machinery is on site pushing around dirt today.

Cool building. Wish it was taller, obviously. Not sure why they're calling it a tower. Still, good news replacing a parking lot at a should-be posh corner.

As opposed to high-rises? The short answer, IMO, is that the neighborhood associations are nanners. It does look like the National Building is finally getting an apartment addition on top. So that's something. For some reason, everyone east of 8th Street seems terrified of the term "high-rise."

Thanks.

Is this project all set to go? Meaning, are they potentially starting work on this right now or are there still hurdles this project needs to get over before starting construction?
