Nice, what building are you in? I assume you must be pretty high up to see the Philly Skyline. I can actually see it from the I-495 bridge above the Christiana River.

Yep, I was in one of the top 5-6 floors of 1201 Market street. Haven't seen it from 495 yet though, I'm usually too busy looking at the Wilmington skyline.

You actually can see the Philly skyline best on then portion of 495 parallel to the river and gov printz. If you look out by Commodore Berry, you'll see the skyline floating on the horizon of the river. FMC and all. Pretty gnarly.

Lucky, I wish I could work there. So I assume you are on like the 17-23rd floor. Could you send a picture of the view up there cause that would be cool to see. You indeed do get a great view of Wilmington from the I-495 bridge, it almost looks like a mini New York.

Yeah, you can also see the Philly skyline from the Delaware Memorial Bridge. Whenever I take the bridge going into DE, I always love looking at the Wilmington Skyline, and then glance off into the distance into the Philly skyline. I feel like Wilmington looks like a city so much bigger than 70,000 people, and it makes me laugh to think that Reading, PA, Camden, NJ and Trenton, NJ have bigger populations than Wilmington, but yet their skylines are so puny compared to Wilmington's.

Correct. I'll try to get a picture of the Philly skyline at some point, but my office is on the other side of the building unfortunately, so I'll have to sneak into a colleague's office sometime. I'll get some pics of Wilmington eventually as well.

Should Wilmington win the Amazon HQ2 bid, I'd love for them to develop all of these sites -> http://colonialparking.com/properties/ It would be such a huge shot in the arm for residential construction too.

Oh wow. They took the 1001-1011 Jefferson Street lot on that page. I wonder if something is going to happen there. Hopefully a skyscraper.

That little nook is hard af to get to, even though it looks close to both Manayunk and City Line Ave on the map. Righters Ferry is a dinky little hard-to-find road and you're not gonna squeeze much space out of the Pencoyd Bridge. Ironically, this site will ultimately be easier to reach by bike -- it's right on the planned SRT path, which is supposed to cross and recross the river on Pencoyd and the old rail bridge -- than any other mode.

This is wffectky a hotel in wissahickon, not bala Cynwyd. It's great for Martin in that they get an exclusive site near a walkable town, manayunk, and on the river with a pedestrian bridge connecting to the town. I think it's great development.

Bucks County hospital begins work on $42M heart center

Doylestown Hospital broke ground Friday for its $42 million heart and vascular care center.

“This new center is the next big stage of development for a heart program that's been evolving for 25 years,” said James Brexler, president and CEO of Doylestown Health. “This program is a centerpiece for Doylestown. We were one of the first hospitals to perform a cardiac catheterization in a community center, and the heart program has gone on to win national awards.”

The 100,000-square-foot center will have a central atrium from which patients will access all cardiovascular services.

The project is expected to be completed in 2019.
