Now I have to go out to a site and stand around for 2 hours, thankfully its only-12. and if they flare the gas line on time it shouldn't be that cold.
If its only 7-10 days that's tolerable I guess, but not the like 7-8 weeks straight like it did last year.

For the 9000th time this winter so far, it snowed again in Calgary.

-2C and sunny until late in the afternoon where it clouded up. Not a bad day at all considering the calm conditions.

Low of -8C (wind chill of -14) this morning. The sun is such a pain in the ass in the morning. It's so low at 8AM that you can barely see anything if you are driving and it's in your face. At least 95% of Canada does not have this problem as sunrise is after 8AM.
Our latest sunrise is 7:34AM on late December.

The warmspot was Sheringham Point, BC at 12.1C.

Yes, whether it's endless snow or endless rain it can make one want to hibernate. I'm almost welcoming the deep freeze that might be coming next week just for something a bit different.

Tuesday around Vancouver was wet. The high at Vancouver Harbour was 10 C, the low was 6 C.

Next "storm" coming up this evening. Starting as a little snow, changing to rain in the evening, and then back to snow overnight. Nothing serious for snow or rainfall amounts, but the winds (gusting to 110+) could be a problem.

Another storm for the weekend too, but that also looks like a snow to rain situation.

Everything is closed in Halifax. The snow has yet to start in Moncton, but it is close. The prediction for is around 10 cm. Halifax may be more like 25 cm.

A major storm is on the way and is supposed to it us on Saturday. As usual this winter, Ottawa is right on the boundary as temperetures tend to hover around the freezing mark more often than not, and it is not clear if we will be getting rain, snow or freezing rain. So far it is supposed to be 30-40 mm of rain but we will see.

Yes, but this year it's just snow. We had our snowiest holiday season in 80 years, so the worst I've seen in my lifetime. I just want it to melt. We usually have bare ground frequently during winter.

Crazy rainfall predictions coming in for this weekend. 40-50 mm here, 50-75 mm predicted for Toronto Saturday. Something tells me that will change.

10-15cm today and I absolutely love it!

Days like this remind me how much I love living Downtown and walkable to work.

I noticed on the 2nd when I was down. How much more snow you had than Edmonton. This 10cm we got will help but still pretty low.

roads in were not that bad. where the plows had passed the roads were good. even then people were driving relatively sane. slow but sane. took me about 5-10 min longer today.
