Maybe it's still on its way. This morning I noticed some people riding the windows washing cart on the southern facade, working on something and also the crown lighting is new since today. These is still hope to see something more on this building...

Wow, disaster project. I was beginning to wonder why the units all looked empty last time I was in town. This thing has been U/C for a while now.

Well, at least the office floors are currently occupied. And the residences, are they an example of why residences shouldn't be built in the CBD.

Are they floodlights or LEDs? When I noticed it earlier it was red...

Either way hopefully it's just in a testing phase because as it appears now it looks pretty cheap and tacky...

It is pretty anemic, even when viewed from high up in a nearby tower.

All glitches and snags aside, I still can't help wondering what the other "crystal tower" design would have looked like ...

so what went wrong?

Intriguing ... and very disappointing, of course. Is it because of the market downturn that the building owners decided to scrub the lighting venture, or what?

I don't get it. There is no confirmation that it is completed or that those features are scrapped. There's still time, no?

I wouldn't expect them to be completely, much less lit, before the building is actually sold out and there are people living and paying strata fees.

Implementing the full lighting scheme now would draw attention to the building, make it more attractive and lively, generate some excitement and act as a marketing tool.

I have to admit, though, that the hotel is beautifully lit at night. I do give them kudos for that.

Oh, and just having looked with binocs, I see what look like dark "nubs" on the spandrel on every third floor from the top. I wonder if that might be related to the tower lighting package?

As of now, we are on pace for a move-in date of summer 2019.
I doubt shiny lights are going to convince someone to fork over a couple million.

Hopefully a testing phase...
They were only bue when I saw them - they look like floods (maybe LED floods?) because the lighting was uneven.

s211 - I'll have to look out for those "nubs". Which side are they on?

Am I missing something here? (and what happened to that article's formatting btw?) Where does it say that the lighting features will be scrapped?

I saw them on the side facing the Art Gallery. Didn't look on the side facing the Westin.
