The Beekman is closer to the camera when a picture is taken from Brooklyn, thus it will look bigger. Any land left in Manhattan these days is valuable, and a building that looks as good as the Beekman was accepted unanimously by the people for blocking the Woolworth. I haven't seen many buildings that are accepted as much as the Beekman. But the new WTC looks like trash (atleast when 2WTC is completed)
FROM Brooklyn. I'm not saying it looks like trash (hold the presses), but the new WTC looks (or will) look like trash from Brooklyn.
