STR made a whole bunch of renderings of the new WTC along with other future buildings in NY. They are all in this thread.

I like how that antenna matches up with one of 1WTC's sites.

Oh wait...no...that was Maude Flanders. My bad.

Here's the view from atop the antenna rings. It's not a new one, but I'm busy learning Android development right now. Until I'm done with that, I'll be lurking around, passing judgement on you mere mortals. Keep on keepin' on.

World Trade Center design flaw could cost millions

Jan 31, 2012

Quote:
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey said Tuesday the loading dock under One World Trade Center won't be finished in time for tenants to move their equipment into the 104-story tower. So it's building five temporary loading bays above ground.

The problem is due to a temporary station that was built for the Port Authority Trans Hudson subway. That station can't be dismantled to make way for underground freight areas until crews finish the permanent station.

"Several years there was a design miss," said Patrick Foye, executive director of the Port Authority, "Should it have been caught? The answer is, probably."

It's about time you showed up STR. I can't believe you're concentrating on your own life instead of catering to our need for visualizing what will come. Try to get your priorities straight.

I've been trying to figure out how to get to that ring when it's built. Thanks for the preview.

Hi, guys New poster here -- but I have been lurking since before Christmas. I just have to say, Carlos, I LOVE the [daily] pictures you post. They are so cool to see!

I went to NYC for a week back in September and was there during the 10th anniversary of 9/11 and then got to visit the new 9/11 Memorial twice. I remember the first time I got off the E train at WTC, walked up to street level and the first thing I saw was 1 WTC. So breathtakingly huge and beautiful. I plan on a long weekend trip back to NYC sometime this spring, hopefully when they have started to finish topping out. So exciting to see history in the making!
