One thing I’ve always noticed on some of the recent towers in Kelowna, especially Kerkhoffs One Water towers is how well the glazing and spandrel blend in with the winter landscape colours of our local snow covered mountains.

Finally found a photo (Instagram @innocept) that really shows the blend of the towers and mountains.

Frankly, I do as well! It looks like it'll be a gorgeous set of images. The impact of those two 200 metre tall buildings is really something.

Nice shot, that train line needs to go. they need to bury it if they can't redirect it.

To me, that train line ads to the business and variety of that shot. Montreal is a port city and a railway hub and it still looks like it. I like it.

Although it is true that that rail line and rail yard is blocks off access to the river. The entire Molson brewery is about to get converted into a residential neighbourhood, so we'll see how the city will deal with it...

The line occupies kilometres of riverfront. Montreal has kilometres to spare. These are just central (not sure how much that matters)

Montreal has more texture than any other Canadian skyline. The different eras of architecture help but new glass towers are also adding it in places too. Humaniti being a prime example.

They've already relocated out by the airport in St-Hubert.

I really like the train in the Montreal photo too. It really adds to the photo in my opinion.

It isn't for either the city they are leaving nor the city they are moving to.

No sign that Molson ever had a central waterfront Toronto location. Conversion into a massive telecom hotel had started in the late 1990s. That went bust with the dot.com boom. Now, it's all window wall condos.

In fact, almost everyone in Montreal is happy about the outcome of Molson moving its production on the South Shore.

Preliminary design was released a few weeks ago.
The Molson sign and clock will be preserved on the highest building. Heritage buildings will be preserved.
There will be a microbrewery (by Molson) and exhibition halls (there were talks about highlighting the history of the brewery. Reminder : the brewery is located there since 1786). Molson will keep its offices in the building at the corner of Monarque St.

You can visit AgoraMontreal for more information and renders about this (exciting) mixed-use project.
